Preparing to move to a park home

Moving into Residential Park Homes For Sale like those from Park Home Life is an incredibly exciting time for those people who are moving into the 50s and are perhaps looking to retire either on a permanent or semi-permanent basis. These parks are a great community of people who are at a similar stage of their lives and the connections that you can make if you wish help to replace some of the sense of community that you have when you are working with colleagues.

There are a few things that you will need to think about if you are planning on moving to a park home or to any other home.

 

  • Decluttering – over the years we all accumulate lots of stuff, especially if you have children. You will probably have lots of items that you haven’t used for years. It is a good idea to have a good clear out before you move so that you are only taking items that you use and want to keep with you to your new home.

  • Furniture – it is a good idea to have a think about whether you are going to be taking your current furniture with you or whether you are going to buy new items for your home. If you plan on keeping your existing furniture you should take careful measurements to make sure that it will fit in your new park home.

 

  • Moving Day – this is one of the most stress parts of moving and there are a number of things you can do to help alleviate some of the stress including packing in advance, especially those items that you don’t need to use on a daily basis.
