Microsoft is slowly approaching the launch of Office 2019 and this Friday has announced the launch of the first advance of the new Office. As of today Office 2019 Commercial Preview for Windows 10 with the usual applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access, Project, Visio and OneNote is available for business customers.
With features that we can usually find in Office 365 , this preview is aimed at companies of all sizes, institutions and government administrations that do not have the subscription solution – some continue to prefer perpetual licenses – and have the latest version of their system , because this suite will only work on Windows 10 as advised.
The Redmond, likewise, have confirmed that this is only the beginning. In the next few months they say they will post previews of Office 2019 for Mac, Exchange 2019, SharePoint 2019, Project Server 2019 and Skype for Business 2019.
Office 2019, the solution for those who are not prepared to migrate to the cloud
Jared Spataro, CEO of Office, has ensured that Office 365 ProPlus offers the most productive and secure Office experience, with the lowest total cost of ownership for implementation and management. Next, it has defined Office 2019 as the solution “for customers who are not yet ready to migrate to the cloud” , highlighting its functions already included in Office 365 ProPlus, but not available in Office 2016.
Updates include new and improved inking functions in all applications, such as the traveling pencil case, pressure sensitivity, tilt effects and ink reproduction; more powerful data analysis in Excel, such as new formulas, new graphics and integration with Power BI; and sophisticated presentation functions in PowerPoint, such as Morph and Zoom.
The launch of Office 2019 is expected by the end of this 2018 . If you meet the requirements to participate in the Office 2019 Commercial Preview test program, only intended for organizations that plan to implement the perpetual version with volume licensing, you can register here .
