Norfolk – The Perfect Place for a Summer Staycation

Staying in the UK this summer for a holiday is looking like the best option, as a lot of uncertainty remains due to ongoing covid restrictions. If you are looking for somewhere to go to get away from it all, Norfolk is a beautiful county that has something for everyone.

One of the things that attracts many people to Norfolk is of course the beautiful Norfolk Broads. There are many walking routes in the Broads and beyond that you can enjoy and the summer is a lovely time of the year to go and see the wildlife and the flowers that are in abundance at this time of the year.

If you want to walk through the forest on a hot day, follow the path along the little Ouse river. An ideal walk for families that can be used by pushchairs and wheelchairs is the route around Burgh Castle.

As well as beautiful countryside, Norfolk is also a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a traditional family seaside holiday. The Norfolk coastline is beautiful and has many sandy beaches, such as Cromer. There are plenty of local things to do in Cromer whatever the weather is like on your holiday!

If you enjoy a city break, then head to the city of Norwich – as well as the beautiful historic sites like the stunning cathedral, you will also find plenty of restaurants offering a range of cuisines and bars to enjoy an evening drink.
