There are lots of things to consider when planning a party for your family or friends. Think about your budget first, how much can you afford to spend and then stick to that figure. Choose a date, design your invitations and send them out, allowing plenty of time for your chosen guests to respond. Think about a theme, then stock up on party decorations, plates, cups, tableware, balloons etc.
When you have a definitive list of people who are going to attend your party then think about the food. Will your party be situated outdoors or in, will you serve hot food or cold? Check with your guests for any food intolerances or allergies, are they vegetarian or vegan, make sure you are prepared for eventuality. The last thing you want to do at your party is to poison one of your guests or make them poorly. Think about the idea of using Food Safety Consultants or ask a trusted friend to help you prepare all the food. Think about a special cake, does the event warrant one or can you use something else as a centre piece? If you are having a theme at your party let your guests know to wear appropriate costumes or special outfits. Plan music, entertainment and maybe a prize or two for the best dressed person or the funniest costume. Remember to have fun on the day and enjoy your party as much as your guests do.
